Niki,
My daughter is three, soon to be four, years old and homeschooled。 She really loves to learn new things, especially if I make it fun。 I am gathering together a plethora of books for her to read and do work in。 This book is excellent。 Yes, there are sections that she can’t do on her own yet, but we’ll get there eventually。 She does like the illustrations and the activities that she can do。 I can see it being great for other kids like her who are a bit ahead of kids their age, and of course for fi My daughter is three, soon to be four, years old and homeschooled。 She really loves to learn new things, especially if I make it fun。 I am gathering together a plethora of books for her to read and do work in。 This book is excellent。 Yes, there are sections that she can’t do on her own yet, but we’ll get there eventually。 She does like the illustrations and the activities that she can do。 I can see it being great for other kids like her who are a bit ahead of kids their age, and of course for first graders。 The stories are easy to follow along with and there is a nice variety of word games and areas where they can draw in their answers。 I’m pretty pleased with this book and feel like she has learned quite a bit since starting it。 The publisher gave me a complimentary copy of this book。 。。。more

I received a copy of this book to preview from the publisher。 I was not required to write a review。Each page has bright colorful pictures with a short story and several questions or activities。 The pictures and activities are relevant to the story。 The questions are based on the story and helps train the brain to find relevant pieces of information in the following stories。 Reading in my opinion is the most important aspect of education and if you can comprehend the material you are light years I received a copy of this book to preview from the publisher。 I was not required to write a review。Each page has bright colorful pictures with a short story and several questions or activities。 The pictures and activities are relevant to the story。 The questions are based on the story and helps train the brain to find relevant pieces of information in the following stories。 Reading in my opinion is the most important aspect of education and if you can comprehend the material you are light years ahead。 This book has great eye appeal。 It looks more like fun and less like education。 I believe kids will enjoy this book。 。。。more

Designed as a progressive teaching aid which will make the most of non-school time, this book is charmingly illustrated, and each page has a different and interesting activity。 The book starts out with the simplest lessons and becomes more challenging as the children work through the pages。 The activities are designed to be completed with adult help, and you can also target specific skills by referencing the index。 At the bottom of each page, there is a dialogue box identifying the skills used to complete the activity on that page。 I was personally delighted to see an activity page called "The Little Hen" (like the fable "The Little Red Hen", one of my childhood favorites)。 Book Copy Gratis Callisto Publishers 。。。more

With a FANTASTIC variety of stories/subjects this workbook is sure to keep your child interested。 Have a reluctant reader? Sit beside them and help them with the more difficult words。 Some of the activities require writing, some do not。 The topics are very engaging and relevant。 They are not all fictional。 Visit space, learn about fossils, firefighters, baseball and so much more。 Good sized font, one lesson per page and colorful。 The skill being taught/practiced is listed at the bottom of each p With a FANTASTIC variety of stories/subjects this workbook is sure to keep your child interested。 Have a reluctant reader? As for this book, it's heading to one of our grandchildren。 I was provided a copy of this journal by the publisher。 That has not influenced my review。 Thanks, Liz 。。。more
